Air transport up in Kosovo, rail drops

The Kosovo Statistics Agency (ASK) has published transportation statistics for March 2026, where increased air transport activity and decline in railway transport is identified.
According to the report ASS, 1,082 flights were completed during March, or 1.7% more compared to the same period in 2025.
Also, the total number of air transport travellers has reached 338,528, marking growth of 5.9% in proportion to March last year.
Out of the total number of travelers, 175,973 were on the way, with an increase of 7.3%, while 162,555 in the past, featuring growth of 4.3%.
Meanwhile, a decrease in the number of travelers has been recorded in railway transport. During March 2026, trains were used by 6,844 travelers, or 5.1% less than in March 2025.
The AKS report also stresses that transportation of goods through the railway has not been carried out during this period.
