According to authorities, the attack was carried out by a 14-year-old eighth grade student who had taken the gun from the house and opened fire in two classes.

Turkey's Interior Minister, Mustafa Ciftci, confirmed that another 13 persons have been injured, six of them in serious condition and in intensive care.

He stressed that it is an individual act and is not being treated as terrorism.

Authorities have suspended training for two days at Kahramanaş, while investigations into the full dawn of the event are continuing.

According to reports, the suspected author later lost his life.
