The suspect, with initials S.R., is being investigated for criminal acts of serious nature related to national security and constitutional order.
According to the prosecution, he has been detained by Kosovo Police at the Merdar border checkpoint. With the decision of the competent prosecutor, the same has been detained for 48 hours, while investigations into the case are continuing.

A suspect arrested for involvement in Banjska terrorist attack
Pristina, April 17th, 2026 -- the Special Prosecutor of the Republic of Kosovo -- has banned the person with the S.R. Incidents on the basis of suspicion of involvement in criminal acts of serious nature, including acts related to national security and constitutional order.
The suspect has been arrested by Kosovo Police at the Merdar border crossing point, while with the prosecutor's decision, the same has been detained for 48 hours.
