So promised Belgian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Maxime Prévot after meeting with Kosovo counterpart Glauk Konjufca.
“Speaking to the Council of Europe, will actively contribute to your membership, not in the future, but now is the time. Belgium remains committed to empowering bilatelative dialogue and to deepen police integration co-operation, especially given the importance of the size of the Kosovo diaspora in Belgium”, he said at the media conference.
He has suggested that he will continue to freeze in discussions the need for Kosovo's support towards the Euro-Atlantic family. He said he is aware that we should approach EU foreign and security policy.
Prévot underlined that it is impossible to talk about European integration, without seeing regional stability and normalising relations between Pristina and Belgrade. He said today he is delivering the same message he delivered yesterday in Serbia.
“Belgjika fully supports the EU-mediated dialogue and continued commitment and tangible progress of agreements are necessary for regional stability and for Kosovo's European future. Continued progress towards normalisation requires sustained attention to ease tensions, especially in the north”, he said.
