So stated IKD Executive Director Ehat Miftaraj.
Miftaraj argued that under the last act of Constitutional Court, if Kosovo's Parliament fails to elect the president of the Republic by April 28th, then the Assembly is automatically distributed.
“Based on the last act of Constitutional Court if Kosovo's Assembly fails to elect Republic President by April 28th, then the Assembly automatically distributed” said Miftaraj, for Gazette Blic, broadcast Periscope.
He claimed that the President's U.D. is obliged to announce the election date within 45 days.
“U.D. The country's president is obliged within 45 days of April 29th to set the date for parliamentary elections” said Miftaraj.
The deadlines for the president's case are already coming to an end.
Although Prime Minister Kurti has started meetings with opposition subjects, there is still no concrete development in this direction.
It remains to be seen whether the country will go to extraordinary elections or have the new president by April 28th. /Periscope
