The Constitutional Prosecutor in Gjakova, the Department of War Crimes, announces the public opinion that today, on March 16, 2026, was reported for a murder in Gjakova.
After receiving information, all relevant police units and the chief prosecutor of the Gjakova Foundation have emerged at the scene.
At the State Prosecutor's decision, the victim's lifeless body has been sent to the Institute of Legal Medicine (IML) in Pristina.
The State Prosecutor has initiated the case because of the criminal act “heavy murder” under the Penal Code of the Republic of Kosovo (KPRK).
In close co-operation with the Kosovo Police, all necessary actions are being taken in order to locate and arrest the suspected person, who has already been identified and is on the run.
Evidence is also being collected and all necessary actions are being taken in this regard.
