So has Matti Maasikas, acting secretary general of the European Foreign Action Service (EEAS), who has expressed his thanks and warm congratulations to Oravi, for his new assignment in Turkey.
In a post on the social network “X”, Maasikas wrote that Orav has done excellent work in Kosovo.
“Thank you Aivo Orar for the excellent work done in Kosovo! You're gonna miss you so much. Congratulations on your new assignment in Turkey, and I am very happy to continue working together as we have done over decades in different roles”, Maasikas wrote.
In photos shared with the post, Maasica and Orav are seen exchanging greetings in front of the EEAS building, symbolizing their long and fruitful cooperation.
Aivo Orar has served as chief of the EU Office in Kosovo in a significant period for Kosovo's political and integration developments, supporting democratic processes and regional co-operation.
Aivo Orav had taken office as head of the EU Office in Kosovo on September 2nd, 2024. Thomas Szunyog had served before Ora in Kosovo.
