Threatened police with hand grenade weapons, one month detention of suspects in Gjakova, details

The Constitutional Court in Gjakova has announced that the Constitutional Prosecutor's request has been approved there, assigning the detention measure a month to indictees L.P., due to suspicion that the detainee has committed criminal acts; deportation, possession, control or unauthorized possession of weapons, and unauthorised possession of narcotics, psychotrope substances [...]
In the media communiqué it becomes known that the suspect, the suspect, has rejected the police, offended and threatened them. It adds that the same one has drawn firearms and hand grenades by addressing the police.
With this decision, defendant L.P. will be held in detention for a (1) month, which will be calculated from the date of the 23 February 2026 arrest to March 25, 2026; it is said among others in the communiqué.

The Constitutional Court in Gjakova has approved the request of Gjakova's Founding Prosecutor, assigning the detention measure a (1) months to the defendants L.P., due to alleged criminal acts; canning, possession, control or unauthorized possession of weapons, and unauthorized possession of narcotics, psychotrope or analoges.
According to the prosecution's request, there is doubt that with January 25, 2026 in Gjakova, the defendant L.P., after being stopped by police officials for dangerous direction of the vehicle, refused to give the documents, insulted and canonized with life; during the attempt to arrest he displayed resistance, drew a firearm, and then fired a hand grenade, pointing to officials and leaving the scene, causing serious fear and uncertainty, the same was delivered on February 2326. Also, during the raid on his “K bar. K. b. & b.” were found and seized equipment for narcotics preparation and about 2 grams of suspected marijuana substance, allegedly performing cannomic criminal acts, unauthorized possession of weapons and unauthorized possession of narcotics according to KPRK.
Pre-procedure Judge Driton Sadiku, after holding the hearing, has praised the legal conditions for appointing the detention measure to the defendants.
With this decision, the defendant L.P. will be held in detention for a length of (1) month, which will be calculated from the date of his arrest on February 23rd 2026 to March 25, 2026.
The sides have a right to that decision at the Kosovo Court of Appeals.
