Kosovo's 10 victims of 2021 tragic accident are unearthed in Croatia

Under the auspices of the Embassy of the Republic of Kosovo in Croatia, a memorial plaque has been unearthed in the town of Slavonski Brod in honour of the ten victims who lost their lives in the tragic road accident on July 25th in 2021.
As the Embassy suggests, Kosovo Ministry of Internal Affairs Special Representative Genc Metaj, Brod-Possavina District Prefect Danijel Marushić, Slavonski Brodi Deputy Mayor Martina Maric Puaca, family members of the victims, representatives of Kosovo and Croatia institutions, and numerous citizens attended.
Kosovo's Ambassador to Croatia, Martin Berisha, said that setting the memorial plaque is not only a symbolic act, but an expression of moral responsibility to preserve the victims' memory and to show that the pain of their families remains a common pain.
In conclusion to the ceremony, Brod-Possavine County Prefect Danijel Marushic expressed solidarity to the victims' families, stressing that no word can ease their pain, but that they are not alone in this grief.
He said the plaque would remain a permanent symbol of memory for the victims and a call for such tragedies not to be repeated.
