(41 minutes ago)The long wait is finally over. The French Football Federation (FFF) has announced that on Tuesday, July 28th, a press conference will be held, during which President Philip Diallo will officially introduce France's new National coach.
If there's no last-minute surprise, he'll be Zinedine Zidane, here comes Periscopi.
The conference will take place at 11:00 at the headquarters of the French Football Federation, shortly after the meeting of the Executive Committee.
This case will also officially end the Didier Deschamps era, which left the post after the end of the 2026 World Cup.
Zidane had been waiting for years to take the lead in the “Les Bleus”, rejecting various offers from large clubs, as his aim was exactly France's bankina.
Former Real Madrid coach hasn't led a team since leave of “Los Blancos” in 2021.
According to French media, Zidane will officially launch office on September 1st, while his debut in France's bench is expected to be in the League of Nations match against Turkey on September 25th.
His contract with the French Federation is expected to be valid by the 2030 World Cup.
