It will also be discussed on the president's case, as the president of this party warned, Prime Minister Albin Kurti today, following a meeting with Democratic Party of Kosovo Chairman Bedri Hamza.
Kurti said the meeting was not called “enkas” for the president, but said it would be discussed.
We will have the meeting of the General Council of Vetevendosje tomorrow. Of course, tomorrow's meeting we didn't just call for the president of the Republic. We've called it before, because it's our chronological statuteic duty to have four meetings a year, so every three months, and especially because this year, 2026 is the election year in Vetevendosje”, he said.
Kurti warned that LVV will propose a candidate for president.
Now we need new preparations at LVV, but of course we will discuss this matter. And it seems that, when there is no possibility of political agreement, when there is no possibility of consensus proposal, then we will have party proposals that will soon be agreed on”, he said.
Asked if they have any concrete names, Kurti said:
“We are not defined for a particular name. You know that Vetevendosje is the subject not only broad and large, but it is the largest in post-war Kosovo and I believe it is not the difficulty there. The challenge will be in the next few steps, and I wish for a more democratic, open race, and of course as soon as we get through this challenge”. /Periscope
