5 years after the tragic accident in Croatia, memorial plates to Kosovo's 10 victims will be placed

On the fifth anniversary of the tragic accident in Croatia, a memorial plaque will be placed in honour of Kosovo victims who lost their lives.

The ceremony will be held on July 23rd this year, starting at 10:30, the Kosovo Republic Embassy in Croatia announced, Periscopi broadcast.

The memorial tablet will be set as a sign of respect and memory for the victims of the July 25th 2021 accident, when a bus with travellers from Frankfurt to Kosovo came off the road near Slavonski Brod.

A delegation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo, representatives of the city's local authorities of Slavonski Brod, as well as representatives of the Brod-Possavia Prefectate, along with representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of Kosovo in the Republic of Croatia”, is said to be posting on Facebook.

As a result of the accident, 10 Kosovo citizens lost their lives, while more than 30 people were injured.

The bus transported about 60 travelers. The company's driver “Deva Tours”, who had declared before Croatian authorities that he was asleep at the moment of the accident.
