Hoxha meets with Djuric in Washington, mentions Paunovic's statement: Diplomacy Is Face - to - Face

Albania's Foreign Minister Ferit Hoxha has announced he has met with his Serbian counterpart, Marko Djuric, in the margins of a meeting of ministers in Washington.
Hoxha said they exchanged opinions on current developments and future prospects, while he said he conveyed Albania's stance regarding statements of Kosovo's “ethnic cleansing” made by Serbian Minister Snezana Paunovic.
Also, I reaffirmed Albania's clear and firm stand regarding the unacceptable and irresponsible statements recently made by a member of the government of Serbia. I underlined the need to reject unequivocally tense rhetoric undermines regional stability and co-operation, as well as conflicts with the spirit of good neighbourly relations and European values”.
Hoxha said that's exactly what diplomacy is for: “engage in open dialogue, face face-to-face, face reality and address differences with responsibility”.
Djuric also announced the meeting with Hoxha in X.
But, he mentioned that his Albanian counterpart has touched on the topic.
The continued engagement in political dialogue remains essential for ensuring the stability and prosperity of the region, as I highlighted during my conversation with Albanian Foreign Minister Ferit Hoxha at the Monetary Meeting in Washington. We also identified other opportunities to advance our bilateral relations and strengthen co-operation in areas of mutual interest”, Djuric wrote./ Periscope.
