The IPK recommended suspension of eight police officials on two separate occasions
Pristina/Gjakov/Gylan, February 25, 2026
Kosovo Police Inspectorate, respectively, has recommended the suspension of eight police officials in Gjakova and Gjilan to the Kosovo Police.
The first case is reported to have occurred in 19,02,2026, where a citizen in Gjakova was reportedly reportedly on a car parking ticket at a banned location. The citizen had gone to the police station to take the ticket to retaliate, but the same after the contact and a conversation with police officials had been arrested as suspected of jumping.
IPK investigators after accepting information and complaint for the case have begun to take investigative action, including analyzing case paperwork, police officials' reports, analyzing an audio-incation etc.
Following the investigative action company, it has been noted that reports of police officials on the basis of which the case of the rowing has been initiated do not coincide with what is heard in the record and are allegedly even not true.
IPK investigators have consulted with the Constitutional Prosecutor in Gjakova, and other investigative actions will be taken against six police officials in regular procedure in terms of criminal work “Use of official position or authority”.
In the interest of the IPK investigation, he has recommended to police the suspension of 6 police officials of the Regional Road Communications Unit of the Regional Directorate of Gjakova.
In the next case, The IPK has recommended to the Kosovo Police the suspension of two police officials in Gjilan.
Investigations concerning the case against the two police officials are under way in co-ordination with the Basic Prosecutor in Gjilan in regular procedure with suspicion of criminal work “False notification or call”
IPK investigators in continued consultation with the prosecution are expected to take other investigative actions regarding the case to clarify the circumstances of the two cases.
