Who are the most wanted drug traffickers in Mexico after the murder of “El Mencho”, names on the up-to-date list of DEA and FBI.

He passed away from his wounds while being transported to Mexico City. Orguera Cervantes was considered one of the most wanted drug traffickers on the international level, as he led one of the most powerful criminal organizations in Mexico.

As founder of CJN, he led the cartel for years and was responsible for the escalation of violence against police forces and other rivals since 2015. For his activity, the United States Agency for Enforcement of the Law on Drugs (DEA) had placed him on the list of the most wanted persons in the world and offered rewards of up to $15m for information leading to his capture.

After his death, Mexican authorities and DEA have focused their focus on the most wanted drug traffickers, including cartel leaders, local collaborators and individuals involved in money laundering.

List includes “members Los Capitos”, faction of Cartel Sinaloa named after their father, Joachim “El Chapo” Guzmán, as well as other CJNG figures and Venezuelan organisation Train de Aragu. Jesus Alfredo Guzmán Brother of Ivan Archivaldo, also active in leading Los Capito, who remains at large after the arrests and extraditions of other family members.

Julian Anthony Arcaga Carias (“El Porky” The leader of the Mara salvatrucha gang is accused of extortion, possession of arms, and plotting to use heavy weapons. The reward for information on it is $5 million.

Tsuen Yip suspected of trafficking raw materials for the production of phantanili and anabolic steroids for the American market for five years. It is required in more than 80 countries, and the reward for information leading to its arrest is $5m.

Limborio Núñez-Aguire (“El Karateca”) The key figure on the Sinaloa cartel and the middleman in the phothanic trafficking from Los Capitos. Authorities offer a $1m reward for his capture, considering it an essential link to US drug networks.

After the death of “El Mencho”, Mexican authorities and DEA are intensifying efforts to crack down on other cartel leaders, targeting drug trafficking networks, money laundering and international criminal activities. The seizure or neutrality of these individuals remains a key priority to curb violence and drug distribution towards the US and other countries.

The updated list reflects a clear strategy by authorities to hit the most powerful cards and reinforce security in areas affected by criminal activities.
