Moldovan soldiers head towards Kosovo for new KFOR mission

For the next six months, these Moldovan peacekeepers will work alongside troops from other countries to monitor the security situation in the region. Before departure, soldiers completed a broad training program, writes I radiomoldova. md.

As part of KFOR's mission, the container will ensure security of military facilities and conduct patrols within its area of responsibility. Moldovan troops will operate under Western Regional Command and be deployed at the “military base Camp Village Italy” in Pec, Kosovo.

Lieutenant Marina Agaki is one of seven women involved in the mission.

We are both morally and psychologically prepared and professionally. Several types of training have been developed, both abroad and inside. I trust my colleagues and, with the support of the soldiers, we don't leave each other behind. They help us, and I wish them many successes”, says Agach.
