According to the military, widespread attacks targeted ballistic missile launchers and Iranian air defence systems.
The IDF says fighter planes dropped hundreds of ammunition over about 500 Iranian military targets in western and central Iran, almost simultaneously, in the morning hours, as part of the attack.
“This is the biggest attack on Israeli Air Force history, executed after a careful high-quality intelligence planning, syncing at the same time hundreds of” aircraft, the military says in a statement, Telegrafi reports, broadcast Periscope.
According to the IDF, attacks on Iran's air defence systems “enabled the expansion of air superiority over Iranian skies and caused a serious blow to the regime's central offensive capacity, the launch countries in western Iran”.
“One of the places that was hit in the Tabriz area served Iran's ballistic missile unit, and from there it planned to launch dozens of missiles to Israel”, the IDF said./Periscope
