Judge Leon Perlaska announced Ahmeti and his defenders, Bajram Dili and Arber Istrefi, that in the 30-day term, they have the right to apply for dropping charges and rejecting evidence.
Initially, Ahmeti's defender, lawyer Arber Istrefi, said that the subject paperwork was accepted, but not the indictment. Then he accepted the charge by the judge.
The Special Prosecutor of the Republic of Kosovo (PSRK) on December 23rd 2025 has filed charges against Shpend Ahmeti, who is charged with failing to declare his wealth correctly in the quality of Pristina's municipality, for failing to declare 172 thousand and 600 euros, respectively.
According to the prosecution, Ahmeti did not declare the cash deposits made from 2018 to 2022.
The defendant is charged that, from 2018 and on until 2022, in the quality of the head of the Pristina municipality, he has deliberately submitted inaccurate property statements, while not declaring cash deposits, personally realised over the years. According to the indictment, the total amount of undeclared means amounts to the value of 172,600,600,000 euros”, the announcement said.
By this, it is accused of committing criminal work “not reporting or false wealth, income, gift, other material benefits or financial obligations”. /Periscopi
