The police on the street took electrical saws and hit the judge's desk, sentenced to 10 years in Albanian prison in Scotland

Albania's 32-year-old Liridon Kastrati has been sentenced to 10 years in prison after trying to kill a police officer in a city in Scotland on May 6th 2024, after being chased by saws.

The event occurred after a car accident, where Kastrati hit a police vehicle.

The policeman said in court that he had attempted to arrest him but was forced to leave after Kastrati returned, took the electric saw, and began following him, insulting the police.

The judge described the attack as a terrible and ugly “”, saying that use of the saw as a weapon is unprecedented in Scottish courts and that Kastrati's actions required a severe sentence.

During the conviction declaration, Kastrati became angry, struck the judge's desk and insulted him, calling him <x0-terrorist” before being accompanied by guards.

The assaulted policeman has returned to work and his colleagues were commended for “guation and extreme professionalism”.

The defence attorney argued Kastrati had the cuter tool to clear his yard and acted spontaneously after the accident, adding that Kastrati had repented.
