(42 minutes ago)The head of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, Bedri Hamza, has indicated that excavations are under way today in Zubin Potok, following suspicions of a mass cemetery.
Through a response to the social network Facebook, Hamza has said that even after 27 years, families of thousands of people missing violently during the war in Kosovo continue to expect answers to the fate of their relatives.
Even after 27 years, we still live with the pain of waiting and the hope of learning the truth for thousands of citizens who were violently destroyed during the war”, Hamza wrote.
He has criticised Serbia for its absence, as expressed, account for crimes committed during the war and has demanded that the truth of missing persons be dawned.
Hamza also mentioned the case of over 100 families from Mitrovica who still await answers to the fate of their relatives, including 23 missing Mitrovica intellectuals in 1999.
“One day this pain will end, but the truth must be heard and justice should be placed”, he declared.
According to Hamza, Kosovo will continue to seek the dawning of every missing person's fate and justice for their families.
