Official: Roberto Mancini returns to the top of the Italian National

Roberto Mancini has officially returned to the top of the Italian National, three years after leaving the post of coach of the Azaurs. Along with him, Claudio Rantier has been appointed the technical director of the Italian representative.
Manci's appointment comes after a turbulent period in Italian football. On 12 July, Paolo Maldini was presented as the first technical director of the Italian Football Federation (FIGC), while his former associate with Milan, Leonardo, took the role of special adviser.
The duo had presented a project to restore Italian football, starting with the academy, while the possibility of Pep Guardola's appointment as a coach was also being mentioned. However, the plan failed and Maldini and Leonardo resigned after attempts to appoint Andrea Pirlon were blocked because of his contract as the global ambassador of a Russian betting company.
After these developments, the leaders of the federation decided to return their favorite option, Roberto Mancin, who had left in 2023 to take the lead in the National of Saudi Arabia.
The official confirmation came from the Italian Football Federation, which announced February:
Roberto Mancini is the new coach of the Nationals. ”
Manchin led Italy from 2018 to 2023. During his term he won the Euro 2020 European Championship, but failed to qualify Italy at the 2022 World Cup.
