“VV must form the new government” Mexhiti, Kurt ally in northern Macedonia mixed in Kosovo's affairs

Northern Macedonia Deputy Prime Minister Izet Mexhiti believes the formation of new institutions belongs to the Vetevendosje Movement, which came first in the February 9th Parliamentary Election. He has demanded that the creation of the new government happen as soon as such is in the Kosovo state's “interest quox1>.

I wish we could have a stable government that could face the challenges and processes that await it. In this direction, therefore, I have no dilemma that Vetevendosje will lead this process towards forming a stable, progressive government and for the benefit of Kosovo citizens”, he has said in an interview for Kosovo Press.

Mexhiti, who is chairman of the Democratic Movement in Northern Macedonia ? part of the V coalition LEN once said they supported and helped LVV for the February 9th elections.

We have a partner, no matter whether he is in position or opposition. I have no dilemma that the absolute winner of the election should also be the absolute shapeer of Kosovo's future government. This is also the will of Kosovo citizens”, he has added.

Among other things, Medzit, has announced that Serbia's arrests against former KLA soldiers will no longer be implemented by northern Macedonia border police.

A political agreement has been reached in the Macedonian government, according to him. He has said that soon they will make the decision “to apply a systemal, legal and permanent solution for former KLA soldiers not to be stopped at the borders of northern Macedonia”.

The LVV in the Parliamentary Elections emerged the first party with over 40 per cent of the votes won, but not enough to form the new government alone. It also needs 13 additional deputies to form a fragile executive with 61 lawmakers.

The current ruling party is convinced it will form the new government, though for such a thing it needs a governing partner. Albin Kurti is still early to talk about coalition opportunities, since LVV leader is initially awaiting the Certificate of results.
