Rama dismisss the PDK's Donjet Sahatciun from deputy chairmanship, coalition in Pristina towards end

Pristina Chairman Progress Rama has dismissed Donjeta Sahatciun from the post of deputy mayor of the municipality under what he has called restructuring of the governing cabinet in the capital.

Rama has also appointed several directors, while writing on Facebook that Sahatci was dismissed because of the impasses recorded in the field of digitalisation, which she has led.

Instead, Rama has appointed Deputy Mayor of the Komuna, member of the LDK's Headship, Jehona Lucak.

Rama also announced that he founded the Directorate for Transition, at the top of which he said he has appointed architect Ilir Murseli.

“In the function of accelerating capital transformation and advancing citizen building standards and security, I have decided to establish the Directorate for Transition. On top of it, I have appointed the renowned architect, Mr. Ilir Mursel. This director will also have in its scope the development of major projects, including infrastructure preparations for the Pristina Mediterranean Games 2030”, Rama wrote.

Restructuring Government in Capital City

Dear citizens of Pristina,

It's been two years since we started governing the city.

These two years have worked hard together with the team and despite challenges, we have begun the process of transforming Pristina, launching major projects and preparing many more that will begin this year, aimed at positive changes in our town. Consequently, I have made a decision to restructure the capital's governing cabinet.

In order to accelerate the transformation of the capital and advance the standards of building and safety of citizens, I have decided to establish the Directorate for Transition. On top of it, I have appointed the renowned architect, Mr. Ilir Mursel. This director will also have major projects under way, including infrastructure preparations for the Pristina Mediterranean Games 2030.

In the field of the best operating and management of Urban Planning and Urbanism sectors, I have made a decision to unite these two directors into a single director, at whose head the renowned architect, Mr. Arber Sadiki. I'd like to thank Ms. Strategic Planning Director for that. Mimoza Sylejmani for her work and professional commitment. Ms. Sylejmani has taken responsibility for planning counseling within my cabinet.

Furthermore, the Property Directorate and the Kadast Directorate will be merged into a Directorate of Property and Kadast, which will be led by Mrs. Dorothy Maloch. And, Mr. Cadastre's director until now, Donat Lucak will be named in the position of the capital's spokesman.

After the release of Public Services Director today, I have appointed Mr. Bekim Brestovci, a longtime professional in Germany and Kosovo, as the new Director of Public Services. I expect him to immediately take all necessary measures to end the waste problem and all other issues related to the scope of this directorship.

So today I've asked the Director for Security and Emergency to change the situation substantially by the end of this year. The safety and welfare of the citizens, for me, is one of the most important elements of government.

The process of transforming the capital requires extraordinary work and commitment. This is a long process in which consistency, determination and professionalism are required. This is the first restructuring of governance in the capital to benefit Pristina and its citizens, indiscriminately.
