In an answer to the Express Journal, The IPK reports that the police officer, the driver of the vehicle, has been recommended suspension from work.
We inform you that the Kosovo Police Inspectorate (now IPK), with the date 08.08.203, has accepted the announcement by Kosovo Police -Regional Traffic, DDRP Gjilan, that an official Kosovo Police car in office, was involved in a foot traffic accident. IPK investigators have appeared at the scene and undertaken investigative actions and have notified the State Prosecutor to whom the findings of the investigation were presented until that stage”, the IPK said.
Also with state prosecutor instructions, the case has been opened as “Public Traffic Resuscretion”.
“With instructions from the State Attorney has opened the criminal case “The threat of public traffic”, from KPRK's Article 370. Police have confirmed that the victim was originally sent to the emergency centre in Gjilan to be treated and further to the Gjilan hospital.
