There's definitely no agreement on textbooks: Nagavci says money will be transferred to parents

Minister Nagavci, at a news conference, has talked about the issue of textbooks that have not yet been distributed. She has said they are considering the possibility that the transfer of tools for providing textbooks to parents' accounts. “This year we are considering the possibility that the transfer of means for [the] security [...]
This year we are considering the possibility that the transfer of tools for providing textbooks under the AugustII legal obligation be done in the parents' accounts and the same thing buys textbooks for their families. Soon in two days, it will be set up for this course that we are considering. In parallel we have also prepared the platform for application on e-Kosovo platform with all other details and have considered all possibilities that on the one hand we have quality textbooks for children and care for the state budget”, she said.
“After many attempts to lower prices to the affordable level for the divided budget, publishing houses have not had understanding. They have even recently sent letters that their prices are non-negotiable here. This situation and this created state is unaffordable for AugustI and the state budget. We cannot pass any bad scheme of exploiting our citizens' taxes. This is even more sensitive when it comes to textbooks”, Kelmendi said.
We have many other similar unacceptable cases where books for certain subjects exceed 25 euros. Only the last five years for the purchase of textbooks have 51m of 898 thousand and 744 euros been spent. As the minister, we are working on improving quality, but that does not even mean misusing the budget. In view of this, we are considering the possibility that tools for buying books will be passed on to parents”, he said.
He said the process for application on e-Kosovo will not last more than 10 minutes.
