In Albania, an operation conducted by the Special Prosecution has led to the arrest of Kukes Prosecutor Xhevair Lita, former director of operational force at police Oltion Bistri, businessman Pellumb Gjona, former police worker and known names of the crime world.
The arrests have come after the investigation of several murders and attempted murders, it is suspected to be involved and Ervis Martinaj, an organised crime exhibit missing for a year for which a second warrant has been issued concerning the operation.
Reporter Klodiana Lala of news 24 suggests that among those wanted in the file comes the name of Preke Kodra, inscribed even as the person suspected of killing Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti. Kodra, appeared in a State Intelligence Service report speaking as one of those who would commit the murder of Kosovo's prime minister.

According to a document circulated in 2022, Prek Kodra's role in the series of assassinations aimed at political destabilisation of Kosovo was that of the assassination officer. Albanian police described Prek (who in some documents are called Preke) as a person who knew how to use a sniper firearm, even an expert on it.

Declared in search: Behar Bajri Brahovic, Ervis Martinaj, Denis Bajri Brahovic, Claudio Haka, Preke Kodra, Alex Ndeka, Arsat Basley, Bardil Mavray, Elion Hato. Investigations into this group's crackdown began on January 16th of this year. Under this prosecution, the Special Anti-Corruption and Organised Crime Unit, in intensive co-operation with Eurojust, Europol and Belgian, Dutch and French law enforcement agencies has conducted investigations concerning several Albanian citizens involved in criminal activity in Albania and in several European countries. It has also been investigated in connection with several previous criminal events occurring in Albania in 2019-2022.
