10 new HIV cases in recent months -- 2 victims of 2 in hospital -- increase voluntary testing

More HIV infection cases have been recorded in the last two years in Kosovo, and that is how it is in the first few months of 2026.
Two deaths from this infection are recorded, according to infected people, since treatment has begun in the final phase of the disease.
Only until the third week of May of this year, 10 positive cases with HIV infection were confirmed in Infective. AIDS, meanwhile, two patients are being treated in the “A” of the Infectious Clinic.
During this five-month period, we have a total of 10 new cases, compared to the previous years, excluding the previous year, the number is growing that even in 2025 we have a total of 34 new cases that are high”, Hatage Gashi, infected.
But, positive, Gashi says, there is an increase in the number of voluntary tests.

In 2024 34 cases and 2025, 37 reported positive cases with HIV/ AIDS.
