So say representatives of the Kosovo Economic Ode. Economists estimate that the majority of diaspora investments go to real estate, not production, that could affect economic development.
The Kosovo government should have a strategy that reorients diaspora in Kosovo investments in the production sectors. The chairman of the Kosovo Economic Ode, Lulzim Rafuna, speaking of Radio Kosovo, says they still do not know who the profitable sectors are in Kosovo.
It's a strategy for economic development, which says the right is not done in consulting businesses, Odates, but it needs a document as it does that's a long one that needs to be cooled while circumstances change, both political, economic, social and social, and that document needs to change, so that former wanted urgently with us after a strategy in power where we know which sectors are profitable, which are the priorities for the state that consider the country's economic development, and the diaspora with the orientation of the sector, said Rafu.
Meanwhile, economy connoisseur Safet Gerjaliu told Radio Kosovo, the majority of investments from their diaspora amount to real estate.
“It is time we have to have a reorient of these tools so that they are not always judged to be consumed, but to be ready for the diaspora sweat to be in good shape to develop, create new jobs, create production, innovation, improve the payment plan, improve the image of Kosovo”, Gerjaliu said.
Demography Mimoza Dashi, speaking of Radio Kosovo, estimates that our diaspora are willing to invest, but demand that those investments be run by the state.
Our government should have special attention for our diaspora. The state should inform them of the shortages so their investments can be successful. It is required that there be business promotional schemes and other facilities. In the laws we have for investments, the diaspora is considered a foreigner, so as a German and as an Albanian of Germany coming to invest are treated equally. Investment policies have countries in the region, but there is almost no”, said Dushi.
However, economists estimate that it referred to the BEC reports, in the January-October period last year, about 700m euros in investments from the diaspora, only 14 million have been in production, while the majority of around 500 million have gone to real estate including housing, housing and land.
