Zeqi confirms pressure put on by Minister Krasniqi to take oath

There has been pressure on changing the date and location of the Isinger Journal has confirmed Zubin Potok's chairman from PDK ranks, Izmir Zeqiri.

He said MAPL has demanded that the ceremony not be held in the municipality but at another location, due to security.

“I seek harmonisation with the government, but it is true that we have had pressures for changing the date and the country, I don't see it as a job that will not be done I believe it will do well”, Zeqi said.

“The ministry is saying to keep in the municipal office for the communities that happen in the saber, where we have a hall of those where some dictatorships work and the ministry is set up for here”, he said until he added that “It's a security thing, technically not prepared it takes a big change there in the municipality because of the staff inside...”.

Zeqiri has said he himself is oriented to hold the ceremony in the municipality, but, as he says, technical preparations are not in his hands, which has no technical conditions to be held within the municipality of Zubin Potok.

Asked whether he was given any date when he would swear, he said he expects such a thing to happen by mid-week

“by mid-week I believe it will be conducted as procedure”, he said briefly.

Insider has also tried to get an answer from Zvecan's chairman, Ilir Boletini, but the same one has said that during the day it will come up with a clarification on the issue.

It has been a member of the Democratic Party of Kosovo leadership, Betim Djoshi, who said on Sunday that several days since the two mayors from the PDK ranks, who have won in Zvecan and Zubin Potok, are facing pressure and humiliation by the Ministry of Management of Local Power.

The two municipalities have called the solemn oath-taking sessions, but, the Minister of Local Power and Ministers of the Ministry's officials, have constantly exerted pressure to change the date and location of the hearings”, he wrote on Facebook.

According to him, these actions of these officials are not based on any legitimate reason which, “ne, would be respected without any problems”.

Meanwhile, the minister himself has reacted today, Elbert Krasniqi, who for Telegrafi, has said that they do not abide by Joshi's claims and that they are in constant contact with elected mayors and that they have no problems on the part of the ministry.

Only Erden Attic of LVV's ranks in northern Mitrovica has been sworn in by four elected mayors in northern municipalities so far.
