The pope makes frequent prayers with passion in the name of the people of the Ukraine “marriageled” and has said he would like to go to Kiev and Moscow if a pilgrimage could advance the cause of peace.
Last month, Ukraine's prime minister met with Pope Francisescu at the Vatican, and said he urged religious leaders to help Ukraine bring the illegally taken children back to Russia during the occupation.
