Kurti, who met with European Union High Representative Josep Borrell and EU envoy for dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia Miroslav Lajcak, is also attending this Global Security conference.
These meetings will be held separately between the French president and German Chancellor with the leaders of Kosovo and Serbia.
The meetings will be organised in the margins of the European Political Community summit in the Moldovan capital, Chisinau.
During the day, he had said that Kosovo authorities “hold responsibility for the riots, which have significantly increased” in northern Kosovo, since the new Albanian mayors took office in majority Serb municipalities.
The French president's stance is in co-ordination with statements by the United States of America and other QUINT countries, which made the Government of Kosovo guilty of straining the situation in the country's north.
International reactions came after shares of the Kosovo Police on May 26th, in three municipalities in northern Kosovo, Zubin Potok, Zvecan and Leposaviq, to ensure access to the municipal facilities of the new mayors of these three municipalities.
The escalation in the north culminated on Monday, May 29th, when KFOR peacekeeping troops intervened in Zvecan “to avoid clashes between the parties and to minimize the risk of escalation”, and were attacked by some violent protesters, which the Kosovo government says were Serbian criminal “”.
In this clash that took place, 30 KFOR soldiers were injured.
