His mother, Selvetta, relates how the case occurred as she points out that she is concerned about the boy's condition and that case, she says they are always endangered by such attacks.
Over the years now, Selvetta shows that there is trouble with the large number of stray dogs in the neighborhood where she lives in Milosevo, Obilic.
The boy came out of the yard on Tuesday afternoon and immediately attacked three stray dogs. This problem is ongoing. We never dare let the kids go to school alone, we always have to drive them. 'Cause I can't get out of the yard, too, from the dogs. It's something that's all... It's very difficult because we've thought of the worst. There's been a lot of bloodshed, it's been pretty bad normally, it's been very, very bad, it's been in a bad condition”, it shows.
On the other hand, Selvetta tells of Kosovo Preress that her son has been helped by a worker in the vicinity of her home.
“E has seen a worker climbing into our house, is building a house. And they first saw him, went to help him, and then his father... He's in Infectia taking therapy so he doesn't get a grave infection because stray dogs can have blood and grave infections. It's being treated by Tuesday, it's continuing treatment until it heals”, she declares.
From Tuesday, the five-year-old who is also with autism is being treated at the University Clinical Centre in Pristina after injuries suffered in many parts of the body.
My son is autism and is normally not protected. And he's been in a very serious condition. When we took him, he was in very serious condition. There are wounds behind the ear, in the head, in the dome. He's so hurt. We first went to Obilic, where we came with ambulances to Pristina. This is where they immediately gave him help, made interventions, sewed through the body. Now he's starting to pick himself up, but he's got trauma, he's always got trauma, he's crying. He's very worried. I didn't like it happening to anybody else”, it shows Mother Selvette.
Selvetta prays that such cases, including other neighborhood children, will never be repeated.
I wanted to make a call, because even today when I thought about going home to rest, I immediately asked my husband they're gone. Because I'm afraid the dogs are still behind my house. Because the municipality has come, and has gone out, and the dogs have returned where they were. It means that something wasn't solved. My call is to drop, settle. I have nothing against animals, but I don't agree to protect the animals more than the child and risk my child's life. My kid's been rescued, but she's been saved for a little bit.
The five-year-old from Obilik's Miloseva will continue to be treated several more days at the KKUK Infective Clinic.
