“Call on Prime Minister Albin Kurti, Interior Minister Jedal Svecla and Justice Minister Albulen Haxhiu to publicly condemn the attack and make it clear that such attacks on a journalist are unacceptable. I find their silence disturbing. Political leaders are tasked with publicly condemning such attacks. Along with our AGK subsidiarys, I also call on the police to conduct a serious investigation, and justice bodies to identify criminals and their masters, bring them to justice and pronounce maximum sentences”, wrote Ricardo Gutierrez.
He has considered that Kosovo has not yet implemented the recommendations of the Council of Europe and the European Union for the safety of journalists. “This tragedy is a good opportunity to launch a national plan for implementing European standards for journalists' safety. Policymakers must have the courage to act. Standing passive is being an accomplice to attackers”, says the response ends.
