“In almost the entire country, we have managed to offer relative security, residents may know what it is like to live in border areas with Russia and in areas south of our state”, Zelensky said, stressing that ongoing attacks with Russian artillery are continuing along the front line.
Zelensky also said that “diver had finished” and that the government “was able to offer Ukraine energy and heat”.
Earlier in the day, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba wrote on Twitter that Ukraine has caused Russian President Vladimir Putin, even a big <x0 loss”, surviving in winter, despite continued Russian attacks on civilian energy infrastructure.
Kuleba also thanked Kiev allies “who stayed with Ukraine”.
These statements come when and around the city of Bahmut severe fighting is under way between Russian and Ukrainian forces.
The Ukrainian Army said on March 1st that Bahmut, located in the eastern region of Donjeck, is facing increasing attacks.
Moscow's forces are attacking Limani, Avdivikka and Shahari, along with Bahmut, and these cities are the main target of the Russian offensive now for several weeks, the Ukrainian Army General Staff said.
According to the Ukrainian army, they have managed to repel over 85 enemy attacks in one day. Two fears, of Iranian production, have been toppled by Ukrainian air defence systems, the military said, adding that some civilians have been injured during the 12 Russian air strikes. / REL
