Ambassador Lana Zaki Nusseibeh, Assistant Minister for Political Affairs and Permanent Representative of the United Arab Emirates to the United Nations in New York, praised the agreement reached for implementing the European plan, stressing that it represents an important step towards strengthening regional peace and security, as well as international.
In this direction, it stressed support from the United Arab Emirates for international law, particularly respect for state sovereignty, non-interference in internal affairs and peaceful resolution of disputes, the United Arab Emirates News Agency reports, the newspaper Express broadcasts.
In light of global challenges, Nussseibeh said: “The United Arab Emirates believe in the necessity of building bridges of co-operation and dialogue to resolve disputes and boost trust in a way that joins numerous views”.
Furthermore, she expressed appreciation for the European Union's role in facilitating the implementation agreement, underlining the willingness of the United Arab Emirates to support this EU-backed process.
She also stressed the importance of joint efforts to advance diplomacy and dialogue.
Ambassador Nusseibeh noted that the United Arab Emirates enjoy entrenched relations with Kosovo and Serbia and that she is eager to strengthen co-operation for achieving common interests.
