Now the photograph is beginning to clear up: the first suspects will have to respond to the Federal Criminal Court in Bellinzona.

The first is a woman today, 28 years old. Charge: The violation of the so-called IS ban law and the presentation of violence.

According to the indictment, accused by the city of Bulle has sent videos praising the IS to some people from itsrus. Video also shows scenes of violence, such as cutting hands, killing people with beheadings and so on. Videos are also accompanied by Arabic calls to be homazhe for <x0 Islamic State lions” and so on. 28-year-old is the first indictment. She is facing trial on Thursday, March 23.

According to the indictment, she, the IS propaganda tool, had also sent a friend to the nearby village. This (second) is also charged and will appear in court in two weeks. According to the indictment, her 33-year-old colleague has spread IS propaganda through a group conversation with 38 members. Among other things, it shared a text for an IS sniper who shoots non-religious “” in Syria.

The two women now charged have not been arrested during the October 2020 raids. But according to SRF research, they're part of this environment. It's basically the women of the men arrested at the time.

Married couples are at the centre of the supposed stage of IS supporters from Gruyers.

The two men were in custody for several months, but today they are free again, as BA confirms. Criminal proceedings, which include suspicion of support or participation in a criminal organisation, are still pending.

Gruyerse Group Includes Six Suspects

The court hearing that began Thursday against the first woman mentioned above is the pre-coupling of a series of trials for the IS's alleged stage in Gruyeree.

In all, there are at least six suspects: criminal proceedings are also under way against a woman and a man from the region. They were arrested in the 2020 raids. The six accused from 26 to 33 years of age are citizens of Kosovo or Macedonia, one with Swiss-Kosovo dual citizenship.

The defendants have refused to give statements to the SRF. While relatives may hear complaints that they were being treated unjustly and that the charges are exaggerated. Maybe one or the other made a mistake, but they're not dangerous, they say.

From the files SRF has access to can be concluded that it is true that there were no concrete plans for the attack. But there was the supposed support of a terrorist organization, propaganda distribution, and descriptions of violence. /Okinfo. ch
