One such case has recently been discovered in Dardania neighbourhood in Gjilan, where a police unit has stopped a new one for control.
During the search, an estimated amount of the suspected narcotics substance of marijuana has been found in the suspect, which has led the 23-year-old to end up in handcuffs.
The suspect has been escorted to the police station where he was interviewed in connection with the case, and after completing police procedures, the State Prosecutor has ordered that the case for unauthorized possession of narcotics, psychotrope or analogue be initiated against him.
According to the Kosovo Penal Code, it is illegal for citizens to buy, possess or distribute narcotics and be punished with fines or imprisonments, depending on the amount and type of narcotics seized by the authorities in the order.
