Kurti: Pristina is Republic capital, Prekazi is of Albanian uprising

In marking the 15th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Kosovo, Prime Minister Albin Kurti, along with President Vjosa Osmani, Parliament Speaker Glauk Konjufca and Albania's president, Bajram Begaj, participated in the solemn establishment of the Kosovo flag, under the intonation of the state anthem.
“After honouring the flag of the Republic of Kosovo, the homazhe also took place at the Monument of the Ungenerous, to continue in the homazhes and place of fresh flowers even at former president Dr. Ibrahim Rugova and the tomb of the event, Adem Demaci”, is said to be announcing the Office of the Prime Minister.
Prime Minister Kurti, in the case of February 17th, paid tributes and placed flowers of the Memorial complex “Adem Jashari” in Prekaz, calling it the capital of the uprising.
“Texa we celebrate and rejoice in this 15th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, we remember with fondness, pain and pride those who were lonely, sacrificed and gave their lives for the freedom of the country. Pristina is the capital of the Republic, but Prekazi is the capital of the Albanian uprising, the prime minister said.
The visit to Prekaz added, on this important day to our people and history, shows that our journey ahead is always in mind and memory the high price we have paid for the freedom we enjoy.
After Prekazi, Prime Minister Kurti also paid tribute to the New Police Monument, as well as to the monument “Heroina”.
