AGK: 2023, year with mostly threats and attacks on journalists and media

The Kosovo Journalists' Association said 2023 was the year with mostly cases of threats and attacks on journalists and media that were reported to AGK.

AGK numbers 74 cases of threats to attacks reported by journalists and media during January period December 2023.

In these 74 cases, the AGK says% that “30 cases have been marked along journalists and media reports in the northern part of the Republic of Kosovo, while the rest of the cases have been reported by various terrain”.

“Gaseers and cameramen, as never before, risked their physical security by reporting in extraordinary conditions, in May and June from the north of the Republic of Kosovo. So, we're grateful that the citizen information mission, you've done it under extremely heavy conditions, without the means of work, and without fear of”, writes AGK on Facebook.

“Thank you and gratitude for all the other colleagues who have reported from different backgrounds have been threatened by citizens, officials, security members, and public persons”.

The AGK invited media employees not to hesitate in the future to report similar cases.
