Commissioner for Enlargement and Good Neighbor Oliver Varhely has called on Serbia and Kosovo to reduce tensions, following the recent situation, where a group of Serb terrorists has carried out attacks on Kosovo Police in the village of Banjska in Zvecan.
Vahrley has said in Tirana today that all perpetrators of the attack must respond to justice, while urging Serbian authorities to co-operate on the issue.
Our “position has been very clear, we should have decreased tension between Belgrade and Pristina. It needs to re-enter the dialogue and produce results by implementing agreements, including in Ohrid. All authors must respond to justice, and Serbian authorities should co-operate in this matter”, he has said.
Furthermore, Varheley has said he must change his mind so that he does not lose the Western Balkans.
A personal opinion, as long as the Balkans think about this area by zero total, must change thinking. It has to change thinking because what you lose is the Western Balkans. And this circuit can only be broken if we have the Belgrade” dialogue, he has said further.
