Only one car has changed Serbia's license plates to the RKS, to five municipalities since September 1st, when the conversion deadline for auto signs has started.
And this figure of only 5 cases that have carried out this obligation is emerging to be the reason why the Government of Kosovo was forced to complete this process, originally scheduled by 31 September, continue for another month.
“The Ministry of Internal Affairs, in time before this process began, has made all proper preparations and are ready all automotive registration centres to implement the Government of Kosovo's decision to continue the deadline until October 31st, 2022”, confirmed by MPB for Kosovo.
Five vehicles with RKS license plates have been registered from September 1st. The censuses are made in various municipalities, such as: Prizren, Dragash, Leposavic, Northern Mitrovica and Gjilan.”, said in the MPB's response,
But this minister denies they have an exact number of cars to change plates.
“We don't have exact data on what the total number of cars registered with “KM”, “PZ”, “GL”, “UR”, “PE”, “PR” and “They're registered in a previous system. After completing the process, their number” will be correctly known, the MPB's response to the Kosovo Clan says.
We remember that days ago, two Serbian citizens were attacked who obeyed the Government's decision to convert plates to RKS. Against these cases has been reacted to by Interior Minister Jalal Svecla, who also called on Serbia's president.
“We call on Vucic to stop supporting illegal criminal structures with their violent and terrorist acts against loyal citizens of the Republic of Kosovo”, he wrote in the post.
