According to Thaci so far, students have lost 27 million and 200 thousand classes for 17 days in school.
“Bilanc of the current learning hours loss by students since the start of the strike: About 320 students in pre-university education in Kosovo. 17 days of missing training. About 5 hours a day for students. 320 000 students x 17 days x 5 hour/day = 27000. Thus, from each student's individual perspective, 27 million and 200 thousand hours of instruction have already been lost since the start of the strike until now. The start of this new school year has started amid strike and the call for instruction in Kosovo schools.
The general strike in the public sector has started on August 25th, and by the Union of Independent Trade Unions of Kosovo (BSPK), have warned that the strike will be more intense than September 1st.
