The interest in studying in just a few areas of research at both the Law School and the Economics has been more expressed in recent years.
But this year from the University of Pristina, they say the demand has changed.
“In the first term of the research competition, we've had about 8 thousand applicants for 5,600 free study sites, required directions have been research programs at the Faculty of Medicine”, Mimoza Ibrani said, a professor of Up teaching.
Although there are some private law colleges in the country and the region, the dean of the Jurydic Faculty at Pristina University said interest in law study is great worldwide.
There is a lack of information, in every country of the jurist and economist there is more, but the good jurist is not that there are too many”, said Avni Puka, dean of the Jurydic Faculty.
The Economic Dean says this faculty continues to be attractive in the selection of new students.
The “Two directions which have the largest number that have previously been bank-finance and management guidance “, said Driton Balaj, dean of the Economic Faculty.
Economics director Ismet Mulaj criticises university that he says is not promoting programmes that are beneficial for students as well as industry.
“Universities co-operate with AugustI, provide stimulating scholarships for directions that are of interest to the industry and to Kosovo youth”, Mulaj said.
Under the UP's statute, the new academic year begins on October 1st.
