Full Posting:
Honored citizens of the Republic of Kosovo,
Barricades, set up by Serbian illegal structures last night, 15 minutes after the release of the alarm system and distributed to nine different locations in the country's north, have already been completely removed from themselves.
Freedom of movement is complete and the Jarinje and Brnjak border points are open to citizens.
Masked groups with long arms led by Belgrade and coming from Serbia have launched attacks on the country's citizens by brutally beating them and the same hunting force today against police officials with the intention of killing them.
These attacks were long-standing prepared, and these preparations culminated in meetings in Belgrade and Rakes. Such attacks do not contribute to the stability of our countries and the region because, above all, our government has made two decisions by respecting local and international laws. As we pledged last night, like the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, with the removal of barricades and ensuring freedom of movement for our citizens, we shifted the implementation of decisions for September 1st 2022, with the goal of maintaining stability in the country and the region.
Panic creation, the triggering of general danger, the movement of armed and masked persons within the country, the brutal beating of our citizens, as well as the attempted murder of our police officials are unacceptable acts, and in that direction, investigations and justice are intensively working. The use of such criminal groups for destabilising the country by the Serb side does not only endanger our country, and this becomes even more serious when Serbia, which through such groups aims to achieve its goals, gets full and already public support from Moscow.
In addition to attacks on citizens, material damage and attempted murder against police officials, we have faced cyber attacks last night that have attempted to undermine state function. In this direction, we have taken all necessary measures and the system has been protected successfully.
In the chronology of the riots we faced yesterday, it cannot help to prevent much concern over the inconception of unconfirmed and false information. News that was published last night has seriously affected the development of police operations, life and security of police officials, and in particular, information on the injuries of the police official has caused confusion and reasonable concern to all members of police officials who were in charge at the time. In all of our calls, like Government and Internal Affairs, we have offered real-time cooperation and information.
Take the opportunity to thank our international associates for the right meaning of the situation and for their constructive attitude. We remain committed to stability and our decision today already proves this and at the same time with all our state mechanisms will be engaged within the missions our Constitution owes us.
Our actions as a state are completely legal and within all our mechanisms we will act in full application of the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo, that is, our country's sovereignty and territorial integrity are and will remain immune.
I once again want to congratulate all police officials engaged in this operation, which even at this point are doing the work of dedication and professionalism in establishing order and providing security for all citizens of our Republic indiscriminately.
