Kosovo police have arrested two French nationals in Leposavic, as the same have illegally entered the country while traveling in a Russian license vehicle.
In a media communiqué, it is known that those arrested have been sent to holding illegal border crossings.
“On the date of 25.07.2022 around 17:50, in the village of Jashanica, Leposavici municipality, Border Police Unit - DDR-North, they stopped the Land Rover vehicle, white, foreign license plates, which included two men, B.G. (1954) and A.F. (1986), with French citizenship, which had entered from Serbia's territory on the territory of the Republic of Kosovo by illegally crossing the” border line, it is said in the communique.
All actions have been reported by the competent prosecutor of the Constitutional Prosecutorship in Mitrovica, who has authorised the case's initiative and the prosecutor's decision, suspects have been sent to maintenance.
The “allegedly using illegal routes have entered the Republic of Kosovo, with the same cases performing the unauthorised cross-border crossing or border line”, the report said.
The Kosovo Police's relevant units are handling and investigating the case.
