Asked how he will respond to this EU document, which for the first time is mentioning mutual recognition, Vucic said he will respond <x0m, with dignity and courtesy”.
We don't think so. We won't consider”, Vuciq added, saying he couldn't think of a more polite “”.
The European Parliament has adopted the resolution saying that the final agreement between Kosovo and Serbia should be based on mutual recognition “.
This is the first time that mutual recognition is mentioned in a document of European institutions. Five EU states do not recognise Kosovo, but the EP is the only institution that treats Kosovo as a state.
However, the adopted resolutions are not binding documents for EU states.
Reports on Kosovo, Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina were approved at the EP session. The three reports called for support of the European perspective of these countries. Also, the EP resolution calls on five EU states that have not recognised Kosovo's independence to do so.
“Reports with Serbia must be normalised through the agreement, which should be based on mutual recognition”, said German MP Violet von Cremon, who has drafted the report for Kosovo.
