Bombed homes, ruined roads, huge revenue losses: Russian invasion is causing unprecedented damage to Ukraine.
Of course, accurate figures cannot be discussed. However, Kiev's Economic School has calculated the damage based on reporting and its investigations. At the beginning of June, it was predicted that the damage could result in about $600 billion, with the destruction of infrastructure, such as buildings and roads with a total of $104 billion in losses.
Since then, the numbers have begun to rise. These figures seem to have reached Switzerland's GDP level over the past year, $742 billion.
Dwelled Homes - $40 billion
The Russians have bombed at least 44 million miles [4 million km] of houses, leaving many Ukrainian homes homeless. These include 227 factories, 1123 schools, 621 children's gardens, 295 bridges, and 20 shopping centers.
Transport routes: $3.5 billion
To prevent weapons supplies, Russian forces have targeted roads and railways. So far, 15 thousand miles of roads have been destroyed, amounting to 30 billion dollars.
Agriculture - $28 billion
Ukraine is considered the basket of bread for Europe, but many wheat fields are unworkable. Russians have also destroyed or confiscated tractors and other tools. The value of destroyed goods alone is 4.3 billion, whereas if lost revenues are calculated, losses amount to $28 billion.
Car: $1 billion
It is estimated that Ukrainians have lost more than 105 thousand personal cars. The damage doesn't count on cars that haven't registered in Ukraine.
Economic losses bear the most damage. It's about hundreds of billions of dollars. The World Bank predicts that Ukraine's GDP will drop 45% due to investment collapse, displacement in mass, ship blockade and export failure. /Periscopi/
