Ukrainian President Voldomyr Zelensky's senior adviser has called on the West to drive heavy arms to Kiev if they want Ukraine to defeat Russian invasion, writes the Daily Mail, followed Periscopei.
Mykhailo Podoliak said on Monday that Kiev needs 1,000 holitzers, 300 missile systems, 500 tanks, 2,000 war vehicles and 1,000 fears to complete the war.
The long list exceeds equipment worth any Western army and exceeds what has been sent so far and what Ukraine has asked for.
In contrast, 500 new tanks would be more than the number the United Kingdom and Germany are willing together, while 1,000 hockey and 300 rocket launchers would make up more than the number the United States currently has in active service.
The United States has sent a little more than 100 hosts to Ukraine so far, while the United States and the United Kingdom together are believed to have sent seven missile systems.
Podolyak published the list at the time of fierce fighting in eastern Ukraine -- where Russia this week issued an order of surrender or death for troops protecting the key city of Donbas -- and prior to a meeting Wednesday in Brussels where supply with weapons will be discussed.
