Osmani, Kurti, Gervala, Rizvanolli in northern Macedonia for Prespa Forum

At the invitation of her counterpart from Northern Macedonia, Stevo Pendarovski, President Vjosa Osmani-Sadriu, has travelled to Ohrid to attend the Prespa Forum for The Dialog on the subject: The lesson of the future of the Western Balkans in contemporary European security architecture, which develops works from today until June 18th.
President Osmani will head the panel during the main opening session, with other heads of state, on the theme: “What after the war in Ukraine?, where it will be discussed on the new geopolitical reality created by the war in Ukraine, strengthening transatlantic unity, and the joint response against Russian aggression.
Dresah President Osmani, Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, Foreign Affairs Minister Donika Grovalla, and Economy Artane Rizvanolli will also attend the forum.
The Prespa Forum for Dialogue will also be the council of heads of states in the region, representatives from the EU, the US, of prominent personalities from the fields of politics, security, economy, academic community and business.
During the forum, Osmani will have bilateral meetings with counterpart Stevo Pendarovski, as well as with senior officials of other participating states.
In addition to the official opening session and bilateral meetings, President Osmani will be among the main speakers in the discussion panel “Democracy Summit: The importance of women in government”, where it will discuss the need to advance the agenda of women, security and peace.
The Prespa Forum for Dialogue (FPD) is the platform established by the Government of the Republic of Northern Macedonia to enable countries, leaders, organisations and citizens to build long-term relations and strengthen partnerships.
FPD participants will have the opportunity to place personal stamps on the stability of the Western Balkan region, enrich regional co-operation and design a positive image of the region within its European integration and international context.
