Dukagjin Lipa, the father of singer Doo Lipa, announced on Tuesday “of great regret and despair” that they were forced to move the festival to Albania because of the Government of Kosovo.

In the first wave of reactions, the Ministry of Management of Local Power was forced to react. The Pristina municipality was publicly hired to give the festival “Sunny Hill” a 17-acre land for use for 99 years, but MAPL requested additional clarifications, which he said did not receive.

Pristina Deputy Chairman Donjeta Sahatciu said the MAPL was cheating, because, according to her, on the table was also the proposal that the festival “Sunny Hill” was divided into a space with the necessary infrastructure for which the permission of exploitation would be obtained for 30 days.

Local Power Management Minister Elbert Krasniqi has denied this. He told Gazette Express that in the dictatorship he leads, no such proposal has gone.

According to Pristina Deputy Chairman Donjeta Sahatciu, MAPL simply did not want to allow this festival to be held in Kosovo.

Dukagjin Lipa, organiser and founder of “Sunny Hill” published a letter on Facebook that said it had sent to President Vjosa Osmani, Prime Minister Albin Kurti, ministers Elbert Krasniqi and Hajrlla Ceku, Chief Diplomat Donika Grovalla Schwarz and Pristina Community Chairman for Progress Rama.
